Olive tree

Hi 
Could anyone advise me as to why my newly replanted olive tree is shedding its leaves. The tree was previously planted in an old water tank in my garden for aprox 8 years. As it was growing well I decided to replant it in the ground. 5 days on it is shedding its leaves. Help please

    I’ve never grown an olive so no direct experience but I would guess it may well be shock from the move. It will need extra tlc and watering while it reestablishes itself. Also thinking ahead to the winter is your soil free-draining as they don’t like sitting in the cool and wet.

    I am now worried about the soil and drainage if it survives its move. I had also thought it may be shock. Worried if I move it again that will be the end for it 🤷🏼‍♀️
