Contech Scarecrow, motion sensor water squirter. Tried and tested. They work. You will need a mains water supply and drain them if frosts forecast. I would also recommend using brass fittings, plastic ones can 'pop off' and flood the entire garden.

Our garden was overrun by six cats. It is impossible to stop them completely, but at least I can go out and not be overwhelmed by the smell, have a wildlife garden and plant veg again.

6 - 8” holes, wow! That’s some cat! Sure it’s not the beast of Bodmin.

What’s it like sitting at the table with Jeff Bezos, Bill Gates et al?

Are you sure it's a cat? Foxes and badgers are great diggers, too. I don't find cats make lots of holes, just one plus a deposit, but the badgers go right across the grass, digging all the way.
