Have no idea - help with ID please

I have down some cineraria seeds and these started to pop. Have no idea what this is, can I have your help, please? Thank you

    That looks like a rush (juncus species.)  Not a keeper - see this old thread:

    Thank you, I see what you mean.. so, the next question would be... why on earth are these things showing up when we buy packets of seeds... they should not be sold contaminated by other seeds

    It was probably in the compost or soil you used.  Some seeds get blown in with the wind too.

    I thought John Innes was safe! It cannot be the wind because the pots were inside. I just opened the soil bag, filled the pots, used the seeds and left them in the window that doesn't open. I will have to see if it has showed up somewhere else.
