New Cherry Laurel

Hi
Hoping someone can help regarding my newly planted Cherry Laurels. 
They are currently only 20-40cm in size and were planted on the day of arrival and watered and fed with fish, blood and bone. Since I have watered once a day as it’s been dry weather and they have been planted a week. Are the pictures normal. Am I doing something wrong? I am not a gardener at all and would just like some reassurance I guess. They are not root ball or anything just potted Cherry Laurel. Thanks in adva nce.

    It's quite confusing when this happens, so it's always best to post once only  :)
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....



    I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
