Cutting back daffodils and tulips.

GraysGrays Posts: 141
Hi all,
Looking for advice on what with tulips and daffodils after they have flowered?
Do you just cut the stems back to ground level now, or leave them as they are?
Ive also read somewhere it may be a good idea to give them a liquid feed now to get better blooms next year?

Thanks.

Feed them and leave them. If you feel you need to do something to them then just deadhead taking off the seed heads.

    Thank you.

Is there ever a point where you should get rid of the stems, or is this not recommended?

Suppose its the OCD in me that's wants to get rid of the stems.

    Thanks.

    When they've died back completely.
Ideally - you plant other perennials etc around them to disguise the foliage dying back.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
