Hi

A small decorative hedge and a box hedge in my front garden appear to have caught some kind of diasease or fungal issue. Just wondering if anyone can help me understand what it is and how to deal with it?

I intend to dig up the infected section of hedge but just wondering if i will need to dig it all up?

I am somewhat of a gardening newbie so any advice gratefully received

Thanks

Mel

Not sure about your hedge, but I'm afraid your shrub in the above photo is too far gone and unlikely to revive. Most likely Box Blight or Moth Caterpillar. Yes, you can dig that up and plant something else. If you live in the south or south east, it is not advisable to try and grow Buxus plants. Plenty of other alternatives.
