Peony Identification Problem

I picked up some bare root peonies a couple of years ago at a local plant sale - planted them and nothing happened.. this year they’ve all started to grow 🥳
I seem to have predominantly two different leaf shapes.
How do I know if they are tree peonies or herbaceous? And does it matter at this point that some of them are only a single shoot?
