What do your ranunculus (bulbs) seedlings look like?

CamelliadCamelliad Posts: 402
I planted some ranunculus bulbs last year and can't quite remember where. Since all the anemones and tulips that I planted at the same time have come up, I had assumed that they had all failed and I'd done something awful, until my neighbour reminded me that they don't flower until June so might only be coming up now.

Is this right? If so, would anyone who has their bulbs coming through now mind posting a photo to show me what the leaves look like as they're emerging / shooting? I have Googled but keep coming up with the creeping (generally unwanted) type and I don't know what to look out for (and therefore leave alone when weeding).

Thank you in advance

    Mine have buds forming. The leaves aren't at all bulb-like.  Ignore the random seedlings (poppy, valerian and anthryscus) - they won't all be staying.

    That's so useful, thank you @JennyJ

    Mine look similar but I couldn't quite work out if they were my anemones (which are all mixed in too - some leaves in the photos - and have finished now) or not. This gives me hope so I'll leave it for now.

    @strelitzia32 I'm very envious!!
