Unsure on what this is, or should be!

So I’ve took this out of the garden and I’m just trying to find out what it is. I’ve done multiple searches, to no avail. I don’t recall planting it and I’m not sure I’ve ever seen it flower/sprout 🙄
Any help would be greatly appreciated

    It looks as if it's trying to grow, so maybe you could plant it in a pot and see what happens.
    Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Soil type: sandy, well-drained

    Can you split the bulbs? Or does it have to stay like that?
    Curious if it can be separated or if it will die as it looks like it’s multiple from the one bulb 😳

    You can split them in winter whilst dormant.
     Risky , but not impossible, to do it now.
