I keep finding black excretia approx 1/2" dia from an animal on my lawn does cats do this or another animal I see the cats on my garden doing it but never on the lawn.

Cat poo isn't normally black (at least, our cats' poo hasn't been).
Does it look anything like the one in the pic that I posted yesterday?

Most likely hedgehog then. They are good guys - will eat slugs etc. Worth putting up with a few little poos on the lawn
