Weed identification

Hello,

Can anyone please identify this weed?
It has subsurface trailing roots all over the place. Is it Ground Elder. If so, what is the best way to get rid of it please?

    Not ground elder. Just dig it up with a hand or or trowel depending on the whether it's amongst shrubs.
    Knowing which weed it is never seems important just the getting rid of it preferably without chemicals

    The photo looks like a patch of common blue sowthistle that I have. Beautiful flower.

    I’m pretty sure having checked mine again. It took ages to identify! Here’s the flower...
