Gaura with black spot what can I do?

Pics show the problem. The variety of Gaura is Sparkle White.
Any advice would be gratefully appreciated.

It's normal on mine too in earlier in year. I wouldn't worry, it will grow and flower as usual.

Borderline

I agree with Jaffacakes, it is normal for Gaura to have leaf spots, now called Oenothera Lindheimeri. Nothing to worry about.

Thanks for your replies.

I have since found an American site which advised that under cool growing conditions dark coloured purple spots may develop on the leaves which is a physiological response (not a disease) and will disappear with warmer temperatures. Hopefully this will be the case up here in North East England.
