What is this?

Hi. Does anyone know what this is? It has almost black berries. The birds don’t eat them so I haven’t either! It’s behind the garage and I hardly notice it. It doesn’t seem to need much attention. It’s about 3 feet high.
 I’ve always wondered what it is. Thanks

    Could be a hypericum - St John's Wort

    A type of Hypericum.
