Plant identification:

Hello,

Just wondering if someone might be able to identify this plant which seems to be making its way down the road, so will no doubt turn up in my garden sooner or later.

Close up of 'Flower buds'(?):

There is also this that has popped up which I assume is a bramble or something:

hm, okay, so sounds like more of a nuisance than downright menace?

Get to recognise the Wood avens (Geum urbanum) seedlings when they reach your garden so you can remove them before they flower and seed in your garden when things can quickly get out of hand.  The seeds are 'hooked' and get tightly entangled in clothes and animal fur.  The bramble will be putting down deep roots and the longer you leave it, the more likely it will come back again when dug out.  Neither is a real menace like (say) ground elder can be, but are the sort of weeds which will become permanent annoyances if you let them.
A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.
