Sweet corn

I noticed that the presenter on Gardeners World was using yogurt pots to put sweet corn in I would like to suggest how I have been doing it is to cut a toilet roll inner in half fill with seed potting compost Put just one seed in and stack then together in a tray water them from the bottom When they are full of root dig a hole drop them in leave the toilet roll on and plant them so the edge of the roll in at the surface of the ground Water in and wait I plant them by randomly digging the holes in a scatter between 30 to 40 cm apart I love getting out in the garden but my approach is a bit untidy PS the sweet corn are manna from heaven Kind regards John Ramm (this method minimises root disturbance)
