gooseberry bush

i have three gooseberry bushes all had good fruit last year , moved house and put them all in large pots one bush now has small berrys on it but other two have lots of shoots on branches but they dont seem to want to open up as in they are just healthy looking shoots but dont seem to be doing anything cant understand why one bush is looking great and other two not any help please

    I know that they have shallow roots and that they don’t like their roots to be disturbed.

    Do you think that they might have got damaged in the move?

  • All 3 had good fruit last year and all fruit at same time so not late varieties any ideas  was very careful moving them especially with roots got me stumped lol  
  • I thought sawfly to start with but shoots appear  healthy

    No, to see saw fly (see saw fly????😁) you have to have something for the saw fly to get its teeth into. No self respecting saw fly would bother to have a chomp at those.😊

    Now the top one - a saw fly would like the look of that one. Keep your eye on that.
