I have a patch of lawn that is about 40% moss at the moment. There are lots of tree roots and also tree shade that is preventing the grass from growing in some areas. In a few areas it is thriving. Since I have lots of rhododendrons and azaleas in the border next to the lawn I'm hoping to cover the entire patch with moss which will compliment them. Does anyone have any hints on how I do this? Continue to mow the grass and if so, do I keep the blades lower than I would normally do? I have been using hand shears in the grassy areas to trim the grass right back but once quarantine is over, I doubt I will have hours and hours on my hands to continue this method .
