Deadheading an azalea

Hello,  I recently bought a gorgeous Azalea, Gilbert Mullie. It has just lost its last flower and i wanted to know if I should deadhead it now or not.  Also how to go about it, Ive been googling and watching videos but nobody seems to cover this.  I can send photos of what it looks like if it helps, Thank you

Most of the flowers will dry up and fall off. If they don’t just pick them off, they should break away quite easily.

You can prune away part of the branch, but this is only recommended for controlling size and shape. Sounds like it’s a young shrub so just be patient and wait for them to dry out.

Problem with many gardening sites, they spend so much time showing the pretty and nice stuff but no one spends time to show a slow death of a flower or what rain soaked flowers look like.
  • This is what the flower heads look like now, I'll leave them to dry. Thanks for your help
