4 days from sowing on a windowsill: these are 2 different Cosmos sown in Homebase peat free compost.

    Don’t discard them, you can wait until the first true leaves appear then wrap them around in a new pot,  (I had a photo thread on this a few years ago) bury almost down to the first leaves. Put them in a cold place now so they slow down.

    @kevincooper112 hi Kev, I sow my seeds in milk cartons, have great success with them.  Mini greenhouse until they germinate, then cut top off carton.......

  • Hi Lyn, thanks for the suggestion, I have placed them in a cold frame to help slow them down first.

    Milk cartons Mary, how the devil do you get compost and the seeds through the tiny hole, and dont they mind not having light?
