Fragrant plants I can grow in a small planter with trellis?
in Plants
I have a bit of space right outside my kitchen door where I'd like to
put one or two planters with trellises like in the photo and grow
sweet-smelling/fragrant climbers like honeysuckle or jasmine. Will they
grow in the 45cm x 30cm pot and along the 120cm tall trellis? The door
is southwest facing, will it grow and flower by June/July? Do I put the
planter & trellis right against the wall or leave a gap? What other
alternatives are there? I'd like to get a nice burst of fragrance
everytime I open the door in the evening. so something like a seasonal
combination e.g. one planter with jasmine for summer and one planter for
other seasons.

Thank you for the link, that clematis looks amazing! As it would be around 1 metre tall on arrival would I just keep it in a bigger pot and use the pyramid trellis instead of the wall trellis, seeing as its non-clinging? I want to bring it up to around 4-5ft if that's possible?
