How to make lawn more thicker and greener

I used Evergreen 4 in 1 last september but still appear to have alot of weeds and patchy areas on the lawn.

Reapplied it 1st week of April and while some of the weeds have died alot still remain.

Not sure what to do next as i want it to be fuller and greener rather than bald and patchy.

    Wait until it rains.
Cut regularly, but only taking a third of the height off at a time, and always leave it a bit longer in dry conditions such as those that have been around recently. Cutting too short weakens the grass, and allow weeds to get a better hold.

Also - these weedkilling products need to be applied when ground is damp, and weeds [and the grass] is growing well. Counterproductive otherwise.
The weed and feed you use in spring isn't the same as the one for autumn. Different products, so if you've used the autumn one recently, it won't do much good.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I don't like using weedkiller so I can't comment on using it, I did use some mosskiller last year but the moss just came back and the weeds are the main problem, they kill the grass. I had two types of grasses that looked like grass but once it takes over you'll have nothing but a patch of weeds that looks like grass.
So I invested in a scarifier which did a good job removing the moss and exposing the weeds. Then I've been manually weeding a bit every time I mow, reseeded the bare patches and the lawn is looking the greenest it ever has this year. Still not perfect but getting closer.

Yep will try cutting it with only a third off. Think i made mistake of applying when it was warm and ground was dry.

I used the evergreen 4 in 1 so it is one product to be used in september and april. Is there better products to use? Which should i be using for spring and autumn?
