Exochorda x Macrantha 'the bride'

I received this plant almost 3 years ago now from my nan before she passed away, (She had it for some years also). It has never been potted up before. Any advice on repotting this?

Im aware I need to prune lightly back now, so i thought i would also pot up to a slightly larger pot. Its currently in a hexagon plastic pot that measures 40cm and 25cm deep.

Any advice.

Thank you kindly

Anything you do should be after flowering, that's when it's in full growth.
Mine is in a 60cm×55cm pot , I tend to top dress it with new compost as in summer I plant it up with Gaziania. It also gets some tomato feed during the summer too.
Dont be too hard cutting back as they are very slow growing, last year the lower branches were touching the ground so I cut them back, as you can see they haven't grown much since then.
    Hope this helps.🙂

Just any MPC . If you can get it out of the tub without disturbing it and then use the MPC to fill in the sides/bottom of the bigger tub it won't be such a shock to the plant.🙂
