Buxus trees Please help

Please can you help. My Buxus trees are turning brown at the back and I cant seem to stop it. They look healthy from the front. Are they dying? Is there anything I can do to help restore them.?

Is it always in the open, or was it moved for the photo? It looks as if the bare side might have been against a fence or wall. If so then that's why it's bare on that side.

Box can be renovated by cutting back hard and letting it regrow, but you'd lose the cone shape until it regrew, and it would need clipping into shape., essentially starting from scratch again, which might take a few years.
