The macropetalas like drier conditions, so they need careful planting. My lemon one is covered in big buds, but it's in a raised bed, right against the fence, with an oak leaf hydrangea, so despite our rainfall, it thrives. If I had it anywhere else, it would struggle.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
