Plant id and advice please

I am tidying up a border and not sure what this grass type plant is. It is rather swamping a nearby peony and wonder if this ‘grass’ is just a weed or is worth saving and just needs relocating. Thanks in advance.

    Carex pendula. A weed which you should dig out.

    Better behaved if your soil is dry but a thug if left to its own devices.

    Many thanks. Reading through some threads it doesn’t look as if I am alone with this one - I’ll add it to the list of jobs to do. 🤣🤣
