Tulips leafing out

Tulips didn't flower only got leaves, will they flower next year if I add phosphorus and better conditions, or should I just chuck bulbs away? Thanks

    Depends on the variety of tulip - most of the fancy ones don't usually come back in the 2nd year.  Do you remember what they are?

    Unfortunately I don't remember but knowing me was probably a fancy blousy one, so by the sounds of it, I'l probably dispose and maybe try old fashioned ones in future. Thank you🙂
