All my pears looked like this last year. How can I stop it happening this year please?

    Have they just been attacked by birds or wasps? I found I had to pick my pears when they were still quite hard and they ripened in a few days in the house.

    Some of my pears suffered the same damage last year - I'm guessing it was caused by birds.
    Not sure about the cause of the spotty leaves though.

    Thanks for your comments could be wasps or birds but it happened quite early in the season about 2 months before I would normally pick them.

    Some years they are ready sooner than others, I think mine were early last year
