Gardening Express

I have now sent 3 unanswered emails asking for a refund on a dead twig sent instead of a 6ft £40 Clematis.  There is no way I could recommend this company. They certainly should not be taking orders if they can’t deal with customer complaints.

I wish I’d read reviews before ordering.  Shameful

    Yes, very mixed reviews from this company 
    Only used them once and, to be fair, the plants were ok but not due to the unsatisfactory packaging it came in 
    There are some good on line suppliers but we all take a chance buying plants that we haven’t seen imo
    If you paid via PayPal they will attempt to get your refund back from the company or dependant on if you used a credit or debit card, contact your bank and see if they can arrange for the money to be refunded 
    I would also keep clear of J Parker Plants as their quality of plants have been questioned on here 
  • I had a similar experience to Nigel Parks. Gardening Express seem to use Covid 19 as an excuse for poor customer service. I ordered plants on 10th April - no acknowledgement of my order or when it would be delivered. They debited my account immediately. After waiting a couple of weeks, I emailed to cancel as I had sourced plants elsewhere. They acknowledged the email but no refund. 3 emails later asking point blank for a refund - I did NOT want the plants, still no refund. They finally delivered my (pretty poor quality) plants nearly 6 WEEKS LATER and had the cheek to tell me that as they had been delivered I was not entitled to a refund.

    My plants from GExpress were packed very badly. At least I was able to take a cutting from the broken Dicentra Spectabilis which took and is now a nice little extra plant.

    Similar bad experience earlier this year.  Plants were supposedly ‘in stock’ but after 2 weeks I heard nothing.  Emailed customer service and they said orders were taking longer due to extremely high demand - this was in February 🤣
