Globe artichoke

Hi have a few of the above in 9cm pots. I will struggle to put in the ground in full sun. I therefore will have to put in a large pot. Reading on line it states less success and limited harvests. Any advice here plse as torn on what best to do - unless I plant at my parents maybe. They are very ornamental so would look great. Advices appreciated.
