What have I grown, newbie help.

Hi
I'm extremely new to gardening and when we bought our new home I bought some alliums to plant. What's growing definitely doesn't look right, it smells like onions and after checking previous threads I think this is a good sign but I still have no idea what it is. Any help please?

    Hi and welcome.

    I think they are Alliums.

In the centre, that is where the flower comes from. If the stalk it isn't there yet, it will be soon.

Certainly some kind of Allium given the oniony smell, but there are lots of different ones so it's a case of wait and see if you don't have the packet/label. The leaves don't look like mine, which are Purple Sensation.

They remind me of leeks but I thought they were grown from seed?

That is exactly what I was worried about them being 🤣
It was from a bag just labelled purple Alliums from B and M. I realised my mistake at buying this sort of bargain now they have grown and I'm comparing them to the ones I bought at a garden centre.
No flower head as yet so I'm hoping it shows up eventually.
    Thank you for your replies.

Yes, your right.  I do have some leeks growing, that were from seeds so thank you for reminding me and giving some reassurance  that they are not leeks. Few! I was worried then. Thank you

They look exactly like my allium Summer Drummer with the twist to the leaves and the red base to the stems.
I grow a lot of alliums, they are all a little different in their leaves and growth habit.
