Novice- what are these growing???

Hello,
I'm a complete novice and new to gardening. So sorry if this is a really silly post. 
I used a composted which had been sitting around since last year (part from other pots and part from a bag). Planted some fuscias but these have started growing too. They have also started growing in some of my vegetables when I used the same compost. 
What are they growing? Are they weeds or something else?

and welcome 😊 No question is silly ... we were all beginners once. 

Those are probably little weed seedlings ... somehow weed seeds get everywhere. I’d just pull them out gently before they get any bigger and fill the pot with roots. 

Those fuchsias look promising 👍

Makes me wonder if you have baskets nearby and something self seeded, they are very even in the pot for airborne weed seeds.

The fuchsias would appreciate being a bit higher up in the pot. Though I appreciate compost shortages at the moment.

Ahh thanks gemma. I've got more compost I can add. They haven't been sat under hanging baskets. Very strange x
