poppy seeds

This may be a stupid question, but if I plant these will they grow. There's nothing on the packaging about them having been cooked or anything.

Suck it and see!  What have you got to lose?  Sprinkle them on the surface of the soil where you want them to flower.  Don't cover them, poppies need light to germinate.

I think poppy seeds used in baking have been roasted or heat treated but... I might be wrong so I'd say give it a go.

I had lots of poppies come up from a wildlife seed mix. Small and large.
