Chard seedling height for starting to harden

I have planted some chard seeds in pots on my window sill. They have all germinated and look to be doing ok. How tall should they be before I start to harden them off outside then plant out in my containers?

They're quite tough @sally748, but wait until you have them big enough - ie in small individual pots, and then you can gradually put them outside for a while each day, depending on weather,  to start hardening off.
It'll be a few weeks probably before they're far enough on.  :)

They are about 1-3cm already. Pics attached.

Yes - let them get to the stage where the roots are  filling those pots individually, or even when the two seedlings are filling them, and then they'll be big enough to start hardening off.
Those are just the seed leaves  :)

You can also sow them direct outdoors into pots, or into rows in a veg plot or similar, once conditions are favourable.

Great, thank you :) It's my first foray into growing from seed so very exciting!
