French Bean plant planted 6 weeks to early

Hello, we bought some french bean plant from a well known online supplier but they arrived last week. The weather has been wonderful so we planted them. However, we now realise that they shouldn't go in until June. Oops! How do we keep them alive and healthy until June? We do not have a greenhouse. Thank you.

Can you get a mini poly-tunnel type cloche like the one shown here http://www.allotment-garden.org/store/equipment/cold-frames-cloches-rhubarb-forcers/tunnel-cloches

I've got some lettuces in one at the moment, and in a couple of weeks I'll be putting it over my French beans.

Thank you Dovefromabove. Ours our tall climbing plants so a low cloche like that won't take them very far. Would fleece or bubble wrap give them enough help? For some, we have put the poles up already too.

Ah, I grow the dwarf ones and use my canes for my runner beans.

Try two or three layers of fleece ... I've found French beans to be a bit hardier than Runner beans, so I'll cross my fingers for you 🤞

I have a layer of fleece around my mange tout. It fell to 1c the other night. They still seem to be growing.

Skylarks — thank you for your reply and the photos — the pegs and string are a good idea. I think I will try this.
