Is this skimmia dying?

Hi the little flowers on this skimmia has started to fall off when I water it or move it at all? I have just realised they need to be in the shade but I’ve had this plant in the sunshine! If I move it to a more shady spot do you think it will be ok?

Yes. Some shade is the ideal, but as long as you give it enough water, a little general feed and some of the soil/compost refreshed each year or so, it'll be fine.

Anything in a pot long term needs a soil based compost, as compost alone isn't enough, so when you repot it, just make sure it has some loam in there. It looks very healthy just now anyway  :)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

Should be planted in the soil, not in a container!

Yes - they aren't the best plants for pot specimens, but it'll be fine for another year or two.
Then it'll need a bigger container if it's not being put in the ground  :)
