Plum tree after moving to allotment
in Fruit & veg
Just more than a year ago I moved my 8 year old plum tree from the garden at home to the allotment. But I am worried it is not doing well. There is a lot of growth at the base but nothing on the top of the tree. What can I do to save it or am I too late? 😥

I think it might be due to the fact that it was a pretty mature tree when you moved it. Is there any chance you can provide a photo ? I wonder if the growth at the bottom is coming from the rootstock.
I must be honest and say l am no fruit tree expert and am hoping one might be along shortly
In the meantime, has it been okay up until now ? Did it produce any fruit last year, and do you know which variety it is?
That's the mindset I always try and keep when these things happen.
