I've got a plant coming through in my garden that I must have planted, however I can't for the life of me think what it is. Which isn't a surprise as if things don't survive the winter then I just plug the gap with something else (my excuse to keep buying new plants...!), so I tend to lose track of what's supposed to be in this part of the garden.

Anyway, does anyone recognise this?

It reminds me of Phlomis tuberosa, but it could well be something else.

Have the leaves got an unpleasant smell when you crush them? Jt looks like hedge woundwort to me
    In London. Keen but lazy.

My thoughts when I saw it was Phlomis and pink, I have one  but it is a bit more advanced. It has high stakes around it so several feet tall , I think.

Yes! It's pink phlomis! Had completely forgotten I'd planted it! It was a reduced plant bought last year, so must still be in the process of getting established. Thank you @micearguers and @fidgetbones.
