Tulip bulbs in container

what do you do with your spent tulip bulbs in a container when you want to put something else in it.

    Plant them out in a corner until the foliage dies back, then lift and store.

    Or compost them, and buy new ones next year.

    They don't tend to survive more than a year or two, so it depends how you feel about them.
    I leave mine in compost, just in a spare plastic pot,  and keep them on the dry side, if possible. Not always easy here, but against a sheltered wall, and slightly tipped on their side helps to keep excess wet off them. Feed, and leave them to see if any come back. Some do, some don't.
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
