How to revive this tree peony?

Hi all,

I bought this tree peony and planted it last June. The 2 stems on either side have dried up and the new growth is extremely floppy. What TLC can I give this plant to help it? Thanks.

    Clear away all the grass and weeds around it using a hand fork so you don't damage its roots.  Give it a good drink of several litres of water poured on slowly so it soaks in rather than runs off then give it a handful of slow release food such as blood, fish and bone or pelleted manure.  leave those old woody stems a while longer as they will take the frost off any tender new shoots.

    They are beautiful when they are happy so give it some TLC.  This was a mess of dried up drought damaged twigs when we moved in here 3 years ago and now look at it.

    Gorgeous.  I tried growing them in my Belgian garden but it was way too cold in winter so they died.   I have seeds for lutea which I shall sow soon.  Fingers crossed.
