carrots

I brought a packet of carrots, but on reading the instructions you plant in late summer for cropping next year. If i sow them now would they crop this year?

Almost certainly.  Which variety are they?

    Bob, they are Early Nantes.
  • That's one of the varieties that I grow and I'm planning on sowing some this week.

Great, those can be sown at any time the weather is conducive (like now), Eddie and are fast maturing.  If you have enough seed, you can save some and sow more in a few weeks to extend your cropping season.
