What plant is this?

Hi,
We recently moved house and have lots of this plant in our back garden. Does anyone know what it is? They seem to take over everything. We're in Essex near the coast.

    Green alkanet - likes damp, shady borders and can become a thug.

    Pull it up and/or fork it out and compost it.
