I think 1. might be a Thalictrum, I often confuse them with Aquilegias.

Quite right, @punkdoc they do look similar, especially when young.

Excellent thank you. I found one Aquilegia with a flower, so confirmed. All the creepy buttercups have been dug up now, found about 10-12 of them.
