After checking that plant name, you’re probably right so thank you for replying to my query. We did think it was that one too so will now start to remove them as they are all over our garden!
If you want to dig them up, dig deep - there will be a long white stem with a knobbly corm at the bottom. You need to remove the knobbly bit or they'll re-grow next year.
