There’s a few things that look like that ... Sweet Rocket Hesperis Matronalis is the first one that came to mind.

I think it's a Digitalis species. Possibly lutea?

. Interestingly I planted digitalis purpurea there a few years ago but they didn’t seem to come back

I have D. lutea and D. purpurea close together in my garden and now have a hybrid lutea which is flushed with pink!

I agree with D. lutea.
He calls her the chocolate girl
Cause he thinks she melts when he touches her
She knows she's the chocolate girl
Cause she's broken up and swallowed
And wrapped in bits of silver
