Hello, can anyone help me identify a tree? We had this in our old garden and I’d really like to buy for my new garden.
Thanks a lot!

Looks like a Liquidambar.
There are ashtrays of emulsion,

Hi, they don’t have that deep purple colour. Just bright red and then fall off. Tree is only about 2.5m high, despite being at least 15 years old.

On second thoughts, looks like it could be a sweetgum. Ornamental possibly?
