Acer plant

I planted a acer in corner few years ago it was small and I actually thou it wouldn’t take as they never did in old garden but this one been great but it’s in wrong place 
am I too late in season in dig it up and move it

    It's not really the best time to be honest, it would be better to wait until autumn now.

    However, if it really needs to be moved, and you water it really well first, get the new hole for it prepped,  get a big rootball , and take your time, it might well not realise it's even been moved. 
    It would then need a bit of care afterwards with watering, until it gets established, and then you'd need to keep an eye on it for the next few months. I've often moved shrubs at 'the wrong time' and if you're careful it can be fairly straightforward  :) 
    It depends how confident you feel about doing it  :)
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
