Hi alexandrathorne. It is a little difficult to say from the picture but is there any chance that you may have overwatered it? The symptoms of over watering are confusingly similar to those of underwatering i.e. leaves going soft and limp.

to me it looks like the white spots on the leaves are the main issue. Has it been getting bouts of direct sunlight recently?
Indoor plants aren't used to bright sun shine and this can quickly burn the leaves.
  • Thanks both please see new pic, it almost looks as if the leaves have been eaten away. It's been moved closer into a window but also has been next to a lemon tree with spider mites while it was transported in a van , so could it be either of those?

No new picture as yet but spider mites tend to cause a more mottled leaf appearance rather than those clear patches. Any chance it could be mildew?

  • Sorry!
  • Thanks, I don't think it's mildew

I think that COULD be spider mite but I'm not too sure. Sorry.
