Best Cherry Tomato for outdoors?

Hi All,

Just after some quick suggestions for some Cherry tomatoes to grow outside this year. Must be indeterminate, decent yield of smallish fruit would be nice. I'm in the south east, relatively sheltered and south-ish facing. What's your favourite?

I grew Sungold last year, which I'll be growing again, good yield and lovely taste. But would like some deep reds and maybe some darker/black ones too - makes a plate look a bit more interesting!

All suggestions appreciated.

March issue of RHS garden magazine has a good review, as well as sungold, Jens Tangerine, Black Opal, Tumbling tom yellow all came out well. I did very well with Tomatoberry last year.

Black cherry has been a winner for me inside and outside.😁
  • Thanks for the suggesting, ended up going with some Black Opal and something called Cherrola. The latter mainly because I couldn't find one site with both the black opal and tomatoberry in stock (and I'm too cheap to pay 2 separate delivery charges!).

In fact it was a problem finding a site with a lot of what I needed at the moment, and delivery times aren't looking great anywhere. What does everyone think they're doing! Crazy!

    Anyway...

Tumbling Tom, Money Maker, Sweet Million are good.

The tomatoes given away in GW magazine are described as good to grow outdoors. I can’t find sungold yet so am trying those out.
