How to store harvested spuds?

Hi there ,

How do you guys prep potatoes for storage ?

I have harvested mine and laid them out on the grass for 2 hours in sunshine. I wont wash them and Ill leave the dirt on them.

Next step is to bring them inside and let them sit for 2 weeks but this time in a dark room away from the light .

Then its into burlap sacks to be stored somewhere cool and dark .

Those this sound about right ? It's my first day time trying.

Yes, spot-on.  I miss-out step 2 and just dry on the soil surface then straight into burlap or paper sacks and stored somewhere cool and dark.  Regular inspection and removal of any which are starting to rot is a must.
