Scabiosa Butterfly Blue

harmonyharmony Posts: 370
Hi, been looking around the garden and have noticed there is no sign of any growth on my Scabiosa Butterfly Blue yet just dead twiggy stems. I'm sure last year there was some green growth all through winter. Should I be worried or am I being too impatient (as always) lol.

I find they usually get started quite late. No sign of mine appearing yet either - that's why I always leave the old stems on, or I'd likely dig 'em up.
I'd give it another month yet.

I potted a couple of these/similar quite late on in the year and they've flowered through the winter.

Another similar one was potted a bit earlier and that had the straggly twigs above a consistently green clump of leaves.

I did not expect to see flowers on the first two right through.
